Karuvarakundu is a town in Malappuram District, Kerala. It is 32 km east of Manjeri and is 30 km south of Nilambur.The place derived its name from iron ore cuttings and blacksmith community, which existed here. Rubber, Cocunut and Adakka (Athinte english ariyilla..! Beatle ( ??) ) plantations are the major activities of the area. Silent Valley National Park is a nearby attraction. Tuvvur (towards west), Kalikavu (north), Attappady (east), Melattur (south), Alanallur (south) and Mannarkkad (south-east) are the nearby towns.
